The Thomas House Hotel stands as a testament to the enduring charm and hospitality of Red Boiling Springs. As one of the last standing hotels from this historic town's golden era, the Thomas House has welcomed guests with open arms for generations. Its legacy of warmth and comfort has made it a true jewel in the heart of Red Boiling Springs.


With a rich history the Thomas House Hotel has garnered numerous accolades and a loyal following. Our historic hotel is recognized for its unique character and welcoming atmosphere, making it a treasured landmark in Red Boiling Springs.



OUR HOTEL STORY





Built in 1890 by local Hardware Store Owners and brothers, William Clay Cloyd, Zachariah Wheat Cloyd and Thomas Tyler Cloyd and operated under several names including "Cloyd Place Hotel" & "Hotel Cloyd" until 1924 when the hotel was destroyed by a fire, then rebuilt in 1927 boasting over fifty rooms and two community bathrooms.


The hotel changed names and owners several times over the years including being a Boys Summer Camp and even a one time home to a Cult until 1993 when it was purchased by the Cole Family and reopened and renamed, "The Thomas House Hotel".

HAUNTED HISTORY





GENERATION AFTER GENERATION of Thomas House Hotel guests and staff have experienced supernatural events that add to the mystique of this historic inn. From doors that open and close on their own and apparitions that drift through the hallways to the eerie sounds of children’s laughter along with disembodied whistling, the Thomas House is renowned for its hauntings.


The hotel is reported to haunted by the spirit of a young girl named Sarah, where she frequents the White Hallway and Room 37. There are also claims of the ghost of Mr. Cloyd who wanders the halls whistling and who has been captured on camera as a tall shadowy figure.


The Thomas House hosts monthly Ghost Hunt Weekends for guests to experience the hauntings with trained ghost hunters. Packages include, Lodging, Meals, Documentary Screening and All-Night, Lights-Out Ghost Hunting.
